Language and Translation
The modular ads are published necessarily in Portuguese, editors will
translate all texts in English. The other types of ads may be published
in English or in Portuguese - Brazilian (recommended), the advertiser
must provide the translation, if necessary. However, in order to
collaborate with outside advertisers, the publisher is willing to
translate text ads originally produced in English into Portuguese, upon
request (See deadlines).
Announcements and Submission
The submission of any files containing digital ads ready (see ads specifications) or other types of materials for the modular composition of ads, such as images and texts, must be made through the e-mail studio@whitecwhite.com,
leaving a return message to the editor confirmation for each email
received. The submission of advertisements and materials must meet the
deadlines and dates, limits and other conditions set forth in the
"General Terms and Conditions of Service for Serving Advertising",
accepted by the advertiser to hire the service in the virtual store
"BIJOUX Magazine."
Ads Specifications
Ads conventional formats:
conventional double-page ads, full page or half page should be sent to
the publisher in digital media, in TIF or PDF, CMYK color-coded without
compression and embedded fonts. The ads also must have a minimum
resolution of 300 dpi when sized to 100% of actual size serving.
Ads modular formats:
for the assembly of modular ads must be submitted to an image editor,
with a minimum of 709X 709 pixels at 300 dpi, and a text in English or
Portuguese with a maximum of 300 characters including spaces. Images
larger than the available space or rectangular shape will be edited and
resized. The texts to be served shall contain the following
information: name of the product or service, company name, description
of product or service contact information.
Uploaded files:
all files must be sent directly to the publisher as an attachment to an
e-mail sent to studio@whitecwhite.com or indirectly through "storing
files service providers", especially recommended method in case of
large files(bigger than 4MB). In this case the "link" for the file
should be informed through an e-mail.
Translation:
the editor will be responsible for translating text to be used in ads
conventional formats. In this case, the advertiser must timely remit a
artwork of the announcement containing the English text (see
deadlines). The editor returns to the advertiser via email, a file in
RTF format with the Portuguese - Brazilian language version of the
texts, to be placed by advertiser in the final artwork, before send the
digital ad to be published.
Ads formats: all
artworks formats must be "bleed" not "trim". On a full bleed ad, all live
materials as texts and logos, should be 0,5mm from the trim on all
sizes to ensure that they appear in the trim-safe or print-safe zone.
Timelines and Deadlines
BIJOUX Magazine is published quarterly and distributed in the first
half of each period, beginning in February, May, August and November,
and closing of each edition is the 15th of the month preceding the
distribution (January 15, April 15, 15 July and October 15), being
therefore deadlines for submission of material for both conventional as
well as for modular ads.
Texts to be translated will be returned to the advertiser within a
period of up to 7 days of receipt of the artworks, with the advertiser
to manage production of the material to be vehicles for submission
within the time-limits.
In the case of repeated published ad, without any changes, the
advertiser must to communicate the decision to repeat the most recent
insertion until the deadline of the edition in question.
